Curriculum System
Four distinct curricula operating under one facility and one Cuyahoga Falls standard. Every course delivered at the FTC is assigned to exactly one curriculum.
Candidate Development
FORGE is a pre-hire program for anyone interested in becoming a firefighter. No previous fire or EMS experience is required, and successful completion provides 5% credit on a future Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department civil service hiring test.
Operational Readiness
DRILL provides hands-on training and certification courses that build the skills firefighters and emergency responders use during fires, rescues, hazardous materials incidents, water emergencies, and other emergency operations.
Professional Development
LEAD provides leadership, management, command, and professional development training for people preparing to take on greater responsibility in the fire service.
EMS & Clinical Education
PULSE provides emergency medical and patient-care training, including certification courses, continuing education, hands-on skills, and realistic medical and trauma scenarios.
